Augsburg is the city of the Fuggers – and it still is today! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most significant eras in the city's history and bridge the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present day. The surface of the jersey is fully designed with the lily crest of the Fugger family. The crest itself, as well as the sponsor logos, recall the noble copper tone associated with the copper trade that the Fugger family expanded throughout Europe, especially under Jakob Fugger. The collar and cuffs provide targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the mausoleum in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the family colors of the Fuggers, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger crest proudly adorns the neck, and on the back, the inscription “FUGGERSTADT” replaces the usual designation “FC Augsburg.”
