Augsburg is the city of the Fugger – and that remains true to this day! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most significant epochs in the city's history and bridge the gap from the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present. The surface of the jersey is fully adorned with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, along with the sponsor logos, recalls the noble copper tone associated with the copper trade that the Fugger family, especially under Jakob Fugger, expanded throughout Europe. The collar and cuffs feature targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the chapel in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the heraldic colors of the Fugger family, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms proudly appears on the neck, and on the back, the inscription "FUGGERSTADT" replaces the usual designation "FC Augsburg."
