Augsburg is the city of the Fugger – and that remains true to this day! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most significant eras in the city’s history and create a bridge from the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present. The surface of the jersey is fully adorned with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, as well as the sponsor logos, evoke the noble copper tone, reminiscent of the copper trade that the Fugger family, especially under Jakob Fugger, expanded throughout Europe. The collar and cuffs provide targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the mausoleum in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the colors of the Fugger family coat of arms, while burgundy and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms is prominently displayed at the neck, and on the back, the inscription “FUGGERSTADT” replaces the usual designation “FC Augsburg.”
