Augsburg is the city of the Fuggers – and that remains true to this day! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most significant eras in the city's history and bridge the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present. The surface of the jersey is fully designed with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, as well as the sponsor logos, evoke the noble copper tone, reminiscent of the copper trade that the Fugger family expanded throughout Europe, especially under Jakob Fugger. The collar and cuffs add targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the chapel in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the coat colors of the Fugger family, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms is prominently displayed at the neck, and on the back, the inscription “FUGGERSTADT” replaces the usual designation “FC Augsburg.”
