Augsburg is the city of the Fuggers – and it still is today! With an exclusive special jersey, we pay tribute to one of the most significant eras in the city's history and create a bridge from the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present day. The surface of the jersey is fully designed with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, as well as the sponsor logos, recall the noble copper tone associated with the copper trade that the Fugger family expanded throughout Europe, especially under Jakob Fugger. The collar and cuffs provide targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the mausoleum in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the coat colors of the Fugger family, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms is prominently displayed at the neck, and on the back, the inscription “FUGGERSTADT” replaces the usual designation “FC Augsburg.”
