Augsburg is the city of the Fugger – and that remains true to this day! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most significant eras in the city's history and bridge the time of the Fugger and the Renaissance to the present. The surface of the jersey is fully designed with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, along with the sponsor logos, recalls the noble copper tone associated with the copper trade that the Fugger family, especially under Jakob Fugger, expanded throughout Europe. The collar and cuffs highlight targeted color accents: pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the chapel in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the coat colors of the Fugger family, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms adorns the neck, and on the back, the inscription "FUGGERSTADT" replaces the usual designation "FC Augsburg".
