Augsburg is the city of the Fugger – and that remains true to this day! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most influential periods in the city's history and bridge the gap from the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present. The surface of the jersey is fully designed with the lily coat of arms of the Fugger family. The coat of arms itself, along with the sponsor logos, recalls the noble copper tone associated with the copper trade that the Fugger family expanded throughout Europe, especially under Jakob Fugger. The collar and cuffs provide targeted color accents: Pink refers to the ceiling frescoes of the burial chapel in St. Anna, blue and yellow represent the coat colors of the Fugger family, while Bordeaux and dark green connect to the club colors of FCA. The Fugger coat of arms is prominently displayed on the back of the neck, and the inscription "FUGGERSTADT" replaces the usual designation "FC Augsburg" on the back.
